Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey could have been one of the biggest A-list power couples in the world. MBJ has plans to become the next Denzel/Will Smith and he’s well on his way. Lori is renowned for being beautiful and for being a catch. Lori slays guys – she’s the one loving and leaving, she’s never the one who gets left. And so it is with this relationship. Lori and MBJ got together in October/November 2020. They’ve likely been on the outs for a couple of months, but nothing was official until this weekend. I’m surprised… but also not. Lori really does love ‘em and leave ‘em.
Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey have called it quits. The A Journal for Jordan actor, 35, and Harvey, 25, have broken up after dating for a year and a half, a source close to the couple confirms to PEOPLE.
“Michael and Lori are both completely heartbroken,” the source says. “They still love each other.”
“Michael matured a lot over the course of their relationship and was ready to commit for the long term. He let down his guard with her, opening up emotionally in a romantic relationship for the first time,” adds the source. “They had great times together and brought out the best in each other.”
A representative for Jordan could not be reached for comment. Reps for Harvey did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
If you want to read between the lines, the message is… MBJ was ready to settle down. He had changed for her, he had grown up, he bought a big house and dreamt of asking Lori to live with him and probably even considered proposing. TMZ’s sources are basically saying that, that Michael was in it for the long haul and Lori “didn’t necessarily want the same thing as him.” He’s 35, she’s 25. She might have felt like “why would I settle down at this moment of my life?” And to emphasize how she was the one who left, Lori already deleted all photos of Michael from her Instagram. This girl is such a baller, my God. I am sick with envy.
