Paramount Network and Network Entertainment have debuted the emotional trailer for I Am Paul Walker, a documentary about the late actor from The Fast and Furious movie franchise.
The trailer begins with a clip of a young fifteen-year-old Walker smiling as he is being recorded on camera, and then transitions into a more-serious adult Walker, as he drives while in the role of his most famous character, Brian O’Conner.
“He liked to go Fast,” his sister, Ashlie Walker, explains. “As soon as I was old enough to hang on tight, I was on the back of his big wheel with him going for the ride of my life.”
Family members Cody Walker, Caleb Walker and Rhett Walker also make an appearance in the trailer and share personal stories that reveal how their late relative really was off-screen.
Walker’s uncle, Rhett Walker, calls his nephew a “giver” because he made a difference in many people’s lives, while Caleb Walker says his brother always “wanted to be a park ranger” and “live in the wilderness.”
Also in the trailer is director Wayne Kramer, who worked with the late actor in the films, Running Scared and Pawn Shop Chronicles, as well as The Fast and the Furious creator Rob Cohen, who says that cinema “couldn’t capture” Walker’s true persona.
Childhood friends Oakley Lehman and Andy Muxlow, manager Matt Luber and The Fast and the Furious star Tyrese Gibson make appearances in the trailer as well.
